BC “EuroCreditBank” S.A. was awarded the “Moldova in SEPA” trophy at the first edition of the Governor’s Gala of the National Bank of Moldova, dedicated to recognizing the contribution of the financial and banking sector to the integration of the Republic of Moldova into the European payments area.

The event, organized by the National Bank of Moldova, brought together the institutions involved in the implementation of the “Moldova in SEPA” project, one of the important milestones in the Republic of Moldova’s European financial integration process.

During the Gala, BC “EuroCreditBank” S.A. received the “Moldova in SEPA” trophy, alongside the banks in the Republic of Moldova admitted to operate transactions through this system.

The distinction comes shortly after EuroCreditBank’s official inclusion, effective 11 September 2026, in the Register of Participants in the SEPA Credit Transfer (SCT) scheme. This milestone represents an important step in aligning the Bank’s payment services with European standards and developing the infrastructure required to process euro transfers.

The EuroCreditBank team is currently implementing the technical and operational solutions required to connect to the European payments infrastructure and process transfers in accordance with the scheme requirements.

Once the service is launched, individuals and companies will be able to send and receive SEPA transfers in euro, benefiting from a fast, secure and transparent payment process, as well as competitive terms.

EuroCreditBank appreciates the contribution of the National Bank of Moldova and the Bankers’ Association of Moldova to coordinating this important process for the development and modernization of the financial and banking sector of the Republic of Moldova.
